
About Dr Trevor Ferguson
Dr Trevor Ferguson is an experienced internal medicine specialist, clinician researcher, and university lecturer with over 20 years experience as a medical doctor. His practice specializes in the treatment of adult medical conditions with special emphasis on the treatment of hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, cardiovascular diseases, and chronic kidney disease.
He practices as an Internal Medicine Specialist (Consultant Physician) at the Andrews Memorial Hospital, where he focuses on out-patient consultations. He also serves as Consultant in General Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of the West Indies, and as Professor of Epidemiology and Internal Medicine and Director of the Epidemiology Research Unit at the Caribbean Institute for Health Research, The University of the West Indies. He also provided services to patients in rural Jamaica, at the Family Wellness Centre in Linstead, St Catherine for almost two decades.
Dr Ferguson is well recognised internationally as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and as a Bernard Lown Scholar in Cardiovascular Health at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. He is a highly regarded health researcher and has published many research papers in local and international journals.
